If you’re looking to add a cat to your family the Capital Humane Society is holding a special promotion to free up some space at their shelters.  Executive Director Matt Madcharro says over the weekend they took in nearly 60 cats and kittens, which has created a capacity crunch.

“Going into the weekend we were already at capacity for cats and kittens at our Pieloch Pet Adoption Center.”  To free up space, Madcharro says they will reduce adoption fees on all cats and kittens to $50 Tuesday through Sunday.  License and rabies fees may apply.

The adoption center is located near 70th and Nebraska Parkway and the hours are 11:30 am. to 7:00 pm. Tuesday through Friday and 12:00 to 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.  If you aren’t looking to own a cat, Madcharro says they are looking for people who would like to foster a feline.
