A Lincoln Wastewater vehicle was stolen from the Kwik Shop at 23rd and Cornhusker about 9:35 Tuesday morning.

LPD Lieutenant Jason Goodwin tells KLIN News the city employee went in to the store but left the vehicle unlocked with the keys inside. A suspect got in the vehicle, which was equipped with a GPS device, and drove away.
The vehicle was tracked to the area of Sprague, Nebraska, where Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies and Nebraska State Patrol Troopers located the driver and the vehicle.
56 year old Don Steinshouer was arrested for Theft by Unlawful Taking and DUI. The vehicle was not damaged.
