Buschini, Wright earn Blackshirts

By Nate Rohr Oct 14, 2024 | 1:47 PM

The ranks of the Blackshirts, the defense starters and top reserves for Nebraska Football, grew by two. Defensive back Ceyair Wright and punter Brian Buschini were both awarded the coveted practice jerseys heading into the Indiana game Saturday.

Wright and Buschini were only third and fourth non-defensive starters to earn the coveted jersey, and both were awarded for recent outstanding play. Buschini was awarded Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week for knocking five punts 50 yards while also throwing complete on a fake punt. Wright has moved into the cornerback’s role and has fared fairly well filling in for the injured Tommi Hill.
