Lincoln Police say four people were injured, one critically, in a two vehicle crash Saturday night at 27th and Knox. Witnesses told investigators a northbound Chevy Silverado was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran a red light around 8:30 p.m.
LPD says it then crashed into a southbound Dodge Charger that was making a left turn to go east. Both drivers and two passengers were hospitalized. Investigators say the driver of the first vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries, but is now in stable condition.
The two passengers in the truck and the driver of the Dodge Charger were also taken to the hospital for treatment. Police believe both drivers had been drinking. The investigation is continuing.
