Lincoln Police have made two arrests in connection to last month’s shooting that occurred after a concert at Canopy and “Q” Streets.

Just before 9 a.m. this morning, October 3, 18-year-old Delshon Levering of Omaha was arrested for 1st Degree Assault and Use of a Firearm to
Commit a felony. Investigators also arrested 31-year-old Bria Carter of Bennington for being an accessory to a felony.

Levering and Carter both had active arrest warrants issued in the days before their arrests in Douglas County. They are being held in the Lancaster  County Jail.

LPD coordinated with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the Omaha Police Department and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force during this investigation.

LPD investigators reviewed hours of video evidence and spoke with numerous witnesses to determine that Levering and Carter drove to Lincoln to attend a concert at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Thursday, September 5. As the concert let out, Levering produced a gun and fired at least seven rounds into a crowd of people leaving the concert.

A 19-year-old male was struck by the gunfire, which required medical treatment. A hotel room window and a vehicle, occupied by three people,
were also struck. Levering then ran to the vehicle he arrived in and left the area. That vehicle was registered to Carter.

Bullet casings recovered from the scene in Lincoln were compared to bullet casings recovered in Douglas County from a shooting that took place outside of Carter’s residence in July 2024 and were found to have been fired from the same gun. In the Douglas County incident, no injuries were reported and Carter reported that her gun accidentally discharged when it jammed.
