It’s Homecoming Week for the University of Nebraska Lincoln campus with many activities on the calendar. Ahead of the Saturday 3 pm football game against Rutger’s, homecoming and basketball activities Friday will close several downtown and Haymarket area streets.
Lincoln Transportation and Utilities released a list of closures:
Friday, October 4:
- 12th Street between “Q” and “R” streets, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- 13th Street between “Q” and “R” streets, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- 14th Street between “Q” and “R” streets, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- 14th Street between Vine and “W” streets, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- 16th Street between “R” and Vine streets, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- “R” Street between 12th and 16th streets, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Vine Street between 14th and 16th streets, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Canopy Street between “Q” and “R” streets, 5 p.m. to midnight
Saturday, October 5:
- Canopy Street between “Q” and “R” streets, 6 a.m. to midnight
StarTran Routes 22-NIC City, 24-Holdrege, 25-Vine, 27-North 27th, 42-Bethany, and 49-University Place will be detoured during the Friday events. For more information on StarTran routes and detours, visit lincoln.ne.gov/transit
