Lincoln residents got to sip and share with LPD officers Wednesday morning during four ‘Coffee With a Cop’ events. KLIN News stopped in at the Hy-Vee at 50th and ‘O’ Street where community members enjoyed coffee and donuts while chatting with officers and LPD team captains.
“Coffee With a Cop is a perfect opportunity for us to be able to interact with the community in a very low-stress environment,” says Captain Max Hubka. “To be able to break up the routine and to get to know them is a really good opportunity for us.”
Hubka says he was happy with the turnout and the interest from the community. “I had a great conversation talking about what we do, the citizens experiences that they have had with law enforcement and hearing some feedback about what they see from LPD around the city.”
