A Lincoln man has been arrested for a series of burglaries and thefts in southeastern Lancaster County in the past two weeks. “It was a total of six burglaries to the outbuildings and garages and two thefts,” says Lancaster County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ben Houchin.
He says $38,000 in property had been taken, including riding lawnmowers, tools, ladders and high dollar lawn furniture. Houchin says during the investigation, 29-year-old Jacob Peterson was developed as a suspect.
On Monday deputies served a search warrant at a southeast Lincoln storage unit rented by Peterson. Houchin says they recovered over $27,000 worth of stolen items and Peterson was arrested for burglary.
The investigation is ongoing and Houchin says more it’s likely Peterson could be facing more charges.
