Following 4 months of increases the August Nebraska Leading Economic Indicator declined 0.69% in August.
UNL Bureau of Business Research Director Dr. Eric Thompson tells KLIN News there was a decline in single-family home building permits and a slight decline in manufacturing hours worked which mirrors a slight decline nationally.
With increases in June and July the overall outlook is that the Nebraska economy will grow at a modest rate through the end of the year and into 1st Quarter 2025.
