Nebraska volleyball senior libero Lexi Rodriguez was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Rodriguez tallied 20 digs in the match Thursday against UCLA, then notched 13 in the sweep on No. 20 USC. Both the Bruins and Trojans were held to under .153 hitting thanks to Rodriguez’s excellent defensive.

Rodriguez earns the award for the sixth time in her career after averaging 4.71 digs per set in the first weekend of Big Ten play.
