Lincoln Police say no one was injured after shots were fired in two area of the city over the weekend.  Captain Todd Kocian says  just after midnight Saturday officers were called to the area of 19th & Benton on a report of gunshots being heard.

“The caller reported hearing gunshots from the street in front of his house,” Kocian says.  “Three 9mm shell casings were located at the scene. Surveillance video shows an older model dark colored sedan driving west on Benton when three shots are fired from the vehicle.”  There was no damage.

Officers also responded to 1st and ‘L’ Street around 3:00 Sunday morning after a woman reported hearing two gunshots. “Officers discovered two rounds had struck the residence,” Kocian says.  “One of the rounds entered the residence and was found lodged in a Cricut machine.”
