Nebraska Wesleyan University named Jim Wiedie its new women’s basketball coach. Wiedie has coached 33 years, including a combined 19 years as head coach at Division I Indiana State and Division II Findlay. He most recently served as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Omaha.
Wiedie was twice named Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year at Indiana State, earning a 166-119 record. At Findlay, Wiedie was 143-107. He’s won at 57.7% clip between his two stints as head coach.
