Lincoln Police are investigating a shooting that injured an Omaha man in the Haymarket late Thursday night. Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says it happened near Canopy and ‘Q’ Street around 11:15.

“Officers were monitoring concert traffic when numerous gunshots were heard,”  Thomas says.  “A 19-year-old man received suffered a gunshot wound to his right arm and an officer did apply a tourniquet.”

He was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury. Officers found at least seven 9mm shell casings at the scene.  Thomas says there were about 1,000 people coming out of PBA after the Sexxy Red concert when the shots were fired.

The search for the shooter continues and LPD is asking anyone with information, including video recordings, to contact LPS’s non-emergency number at 402 441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402 475-3600.
