An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) has been arrested by the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force. Obiomachuckuka Njokanma was taken into custody Spetember 3, 2024, in Lincoln.

Njokanma disappeared on September 1, 2024, when she left CCC-L. She started her sentence on September 22, 2022. She was sentenced to six to 10 years for first degree assault and terroristic threats out of Lancaster County.

CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility.

Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
