Two Husker volleyball players earned weekly honors from the Big Ten office after No. 2 Nebraska went 3-0 in the first week of action in the 2024 season.
Junior middle blocker Rebekah Allick earned conference Defensive Player of the Week, while sophomore setter Bergen Reilly won conference Setter of the Week. Allick received the honor for the first time in her career, while Reilly earned her fifth career conference Setter of the Week award.
Allick led the Huskers to a season-opening win over No. 9 Kentucky with 11 kills and 12 blocks. She averaged 2.40 kills and 1.90 blocks per set last week while hitting .415 in Nebraska’s three victories. Meanwhile, Reilly averaged 10.78 set assists per set and registered three double-doubles while leading the Huskers to three wins to open the season.
