A 52-year-old Lincoln man was arrested twice this week for driving under the influence of drugs.   LPD says around 2:15 Tuesday afternoon an officer clocked a 2021 gray Toyota Tacoma pickup truck going 77 mph in a 45 mph zone just west of Park Blvd. and Van Dorn.

The officer conducted a traffic stop near 6th and Van Dorn and contacted Gregory Davis. “Based on the initial assessment of Davis, the officer called a Drug Recognition Expert for an evaluation and Davis was taken into custody,” says LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas.

He was cited for driving under the influence of drugs, speeding and no license.  The following day LPD says Davis was involved in a one vehicle crash at SW 15th and W. Van Dorn.  “He was driving west in his 2021 gray Toyota Tacoma pickup when the vehicle left the road and struck a railroad crossing arm,” Thomas says.

Davis sustained serious injuries to his legs and was taken to the hospital for treatment. He was cited for driving under the influence of drugs and negligent driving.
