All six components of the July Nebraska Leading Economic Indicator were higher. Business expectations, building permits for single-family homes, airline passenger counts, initial claims for unemployment insurance, the value of the U.S. dollar and manufacturing hours worked improved during the month leading the overall indicator to a gain of 1.72%.
Dr Eric Thompson tells KLIN News single-family home building permits were the strongest component gaining 0.89%.
