Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in identifying a neighborhood bike bandit and a “raging” vandal who smashed a car window in a downtown Lincoln garage.

The first case occurred on July 24, 2024, in the area of 32nd and Randolph Street.

A resident in the area reported a man “tip-toed” onto her porch and was seen looking around. He returned a short time later with bolt cutters, which he used to cut loose and steal a bicycle.

The bike is a red Trek with a baby seat attached to the back of it.

Footage of the incident and sample photos of the bike are available below.

The second case occurred on August 14, 2024, in a parking garage near 9th and “Q” Street.

A woman returning to her car parked in her assigned resident parking-spot arrived to find her back window completely shattered.

Lincoln Police obtained security video footage from the parking garage which showed a younger white male throwing a trash can down the parking garage ramp “in a fit of rage,” then walking over to the victim’s vehicle and smashing his elbow into her back window.

The suspect has visible a tattoo on his right thigh.

Video and photos from the incident are available below.

If you have information on either of these cases, contact Lincoln Police at (402) 441-6000 to speak with an officer, or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers at (402) 475-3600. An anonymous tip can be left online through lincolncrimestoppers.com
