Second Man Arrested For Lincoln Auto Parts Store Robberies

A second man has been arrested in connection with a pair of O’Reilly’s auto parts store robberies last month. “47-year-old Rodney Ross of Lincoln was taken into custody in Jackson, Michigan on Saturday,” says LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas.

“He’s currently being held in jail in Jackson while investigators make arrangements for him to face charges here in Lancaster County.”  Last week 31-year-old Jamal Carr was arrested for his role in the robberies of the O’Reilly’s Auto Parts stores near 84th and Adams and 48th and Orchard on July 14 and 24.

More than $4,000 in cash was taken from the businesses.   Carr was booked for two counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery.  She says four days after the second robbery officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at the Family Dollar store near 13th and High Street.

The caller’s description of the two suspects matched those from the O’Reilly robberies.  Thomas says they were not able to steal anything from the store.  Ross is expected to face similar charges.
