Capital Humane Society
The Capital Humane Society (CHS) is urgently trying to clear up kennel space for dogs this week by discounting adoption fees.
This morning, the CHS Admissions and Assessment Center reported being at 95% capacity for dogs with only three open kennels, and the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center at 100% capacity.
Today through Sunday, August 11th, adoption fees for all dogs available for adoption will be reduced to $100 at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center. License and rabies fees may apply.
“It is essential we free up kennel space. The best way for the Lincoln community to help us is by adopting, fostering and spreading the word,” CHS said in an official statement.

Hours at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center are:
- Tuesday-Friday — 11:30am-7:00pm
- Saturday-Sunday — 12:00pm-5:00pm
