Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews were called to the Lincoln Flats condo building near 13th and O Street around 8:00 Wednesday morning.  “Somebody downstairs in a business reported water coming through the ceiling,” says Battalion Chief Jim Bopp.

Once inside, crews found some burnt items on a stove in a second floor unit.  Bopp says the fire was put out by the sprinkler system and all of the residents made it out safely.  Firefighters used fans to ventilate the building.

The water damage is estimated at $25,000.
