Lincoln Police are investigating after a man was found dead Monday morning at Archer Daniels Midland near 74th and Cornhusker. LPD says officers were called to the business around 5:15 a.m. morning and found the 47-year-old man’s body on the property.
ADM spokesperson Jackie Anderson says employees found their co-worker unresponsive in a non-operational part of their oilseeds plant. “Employees immediately called for assistance from emergency personnel, but unfortunately the colleague passed away,” Anderson says.
“We are working with authorities to investigate the cause of death. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the colleague’s family. We are providing support to the family as well as our team members on-site.”
Police say the man been reported missing about five hours before his body was found. Investigators are trying to determine what caused his death.
