Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects in two separate cases involving suspicious activity at Lincoln homes.
The first case occurred in the area of 40th and Sumner Street on July 20, 2024.
Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says neighbors in the area were having a garage sale when they saw some suspicious activity at a house across the street where they knew the owner was out of town on vacation.
The neighbors reported seeing a black Dodge Ram, driven by a black male, pull into the neighborhood and park for a brief period before pulling up closer to the house. The owner had a family member staying at the house who was unaware of anything that had happened.
One white male with brown curly hair was observed emerging from the houses backyard, hopping the fence, getting into the truck and driving off.
A photo of the truck is available below.
The next case occurred near 29th and Merrill Street on July 21, 2024.
A resident in the area reported seeing a someone walking through her backyard. She said she also witnessed him trying to get into her vehicle in the driveway, and her neighbor’s vehicle as well.
Both cars were fortunately locked, so he was unable to break in.
Video of the incident and photos of the suspect are available below.
