Nebraska lawmakers asking for a concrete property tax plan from Governor Jim Pillen—ahead of the July 25th legislative special session—are poised to get their wish Thursday.
Gov. Pillen will be joined by state senators in unveiling the plan at the state capital on Thursday, July 18, at 10 a.m.
Indicated in an official release, the plan is designed to slash property taxes owed by Nebraskans by “about 50 percent” and is the culmination of conversations the Governor has had across the state since the adjournment of this year’s legislative session.
