You may see more Lancaster County Sheriff’s Deputies out on the road. LSO is taking part in a speeding prevention operation through the end of July. The mobilization is geared towards reducing speed related traffic deaths. LSO will increase the number of deputies patrolling throughout the county in marked cruisers.
They will be working to enforce all traffic violations with the main focus on speeding drivers.
Overtime for the additional deputies working during the mobilization will be paid through a mini grant funded by the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
