The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Lancaster County until 10 p.m. Wednesday night, July 10.
A few strong or severe storms may produce scattered hail up to ping pong ball size possible, gusty winds up to 70 mph, and the potential for frequent lightning. Large hail will be the primary threat.
Storms will taper and end around sunset.
Other effected areas in southeast Nebraska include Cass, Gage, Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, and Richardson counties.
