A 25-year-old Lincoln man is facing charges after a woman reported a valuable ring was stolen after hiring a company to clean her house. Lancaster County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ben Houchin a man and woman from Kleen As It Gets came to her home near Denton on June 4.
He says Austin Isa told her he knocked over a jewelry box and put everything back. The woman eventually noticed her $4,500 ring was missing and filed a report. Through their investigation, Houchin says they learned the ring had been pawned.
A search warrant was eventually served at the couple’s apartment in north Lincoln. “We noticed a ton of jewelry and personal marijuana along with paraphernalia.” He says sadly a lot of the jewelry recovered had their stones removed.
Isa was arrested for felony theft, felony child abuse, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His girlfriend, 37-year-old Jonie Rolfsmeyer, was also arrested for felony child abuse and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A 16-year-old was in the apartment where the drugs were found.
Houchin says Rolfsmeyer own Kleen As It Gets. “Anybody who has hired this company, please take a second and look at your jewelry, because we have a lot,” Houchin says.
The extent of the jewelry theft scheme is not yet known and Houchin believes more charges will be filed.
