Local non-profit CenterPointe will be hosting a “Back To School Bash,” aiming to connect families to healthy resources available for children in our community before the school year kicks off in August.
The free family-friendly event will be hosted Wednesday, July 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the CenterPointe Campus for Health & WellBeing Garden (2202 S. 11th Street).
The outdoor event will feature live music, food venders, and informational booths from CenterPointe, Tobacco Free Lancaster County, Family Service Lincoln, Lincoln Public Library, and Lincoln Pediatric Dentistry.
“It seems like we have a spike in usage for out youth crisis services in the school year,” said Marin King CenterPointe Marketing and Communication Manager. “Were hoping to connect families with our service so they know what’s out there in the community, with CenterPointe’s programming and other community partners as well.”
Back to school physical exams will also be emphasized during the event.
