A line of strong to severe storms is possible (50-70% chance) this afternoon and early evening in and around Lincoln and Lancaster County with damaging wind and hail being the main hazards. The most likely timeframe for peak storm intensity is from 3 to 10 PM.
For Sunday, there is a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms by mid-morning and it will be mild with below-normal high temps. The high Sunday is expected in the upper 70s to near 80 with mostly cloudy skies. By afternoon the chance of precipitation increases with the potential of a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain. Higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms
Minor to moderate flooding will continue along the Missouri River at Nebraska City southward into this upcoming week.
