A 19-year-old man ended in the hospital after being shot near 51st and Vine around 12:30 Saturday morning. LPD Captain Todd Kocian says the victim was sitting in a car with friends when two Hispanic men wearing dark clothing approached them.
“He said the males displayed handguns. He attempted to drive away at which time they fired the handguns towards his vehicle,” Kocian says. The
victim was found to have a single gunshot wound to his torso.
His injuries are not life threatening and police continue their search for the gunmen.
