A Lincoln woman is no stranger to winning Pick 5 jackpots. Nebraska Lottery officials say Lori Sailors won the $220,000 top prize in the June 22 drawing. Sailors purchased her winning ticket at Casey’s near 48th and Fremont.
The winning numbers were 04, 11, 22, 24 and 27. It turns out that this isn’t Sailors’ first Pick 5 win, but it was her largest. Back in June of 2019 she claimed a $54,000 Pick 5 jackpot. Lottery officials say both of those wins were on tickets printed by mistake. This time around, Sailors bought the extra ticket that had accidentally been printed, which is what she did in 2019.
“I don’t let the mistakes go,” Sailors says. “I can’t just let them sit there.” Sailors and her husband Monte said they’re planning on paying off their daughter’s student loan with their winnings and putting the rest in the bank.
