Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in two separate cases: one involving a car thief who returned the stolen vehicle to the crime scene, and the other involving the theft of several gun holsters from the Lincoln Scheel’s location.

The first case occured on May 9th, 2024, when a Jeep Gladiator was stolen overnight from a parking lot in the area of S. 1st and W. Denton Road.

Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says a suspect was identified after a woman was captured on camera at the Casey’s near 55th Street and Superior, using the victim’s credit card that was in the Jeep.

“The Jeep was ironically located just a few days later, brought back to the same parking lot where it was stolen from, keys inside, doors left unlocked,” said Keller.

The suspect has a tattoo on her left chest area. See pictures below.

The next case occurred more recently on June 2nd, 2024, at the Lincoln Scheel’s location on 27th and Pine Lake Road.

Three individuals can be seen entering the store. One man in the group begins examining a gun holster. He opens the package and conceals the holster in the front of his pants. The same man grabs another holster, and so does another man in the group, totaling three stolen holsters.

A juvenile female could be seen nearby, possibly as a lookout.

The group left in a dark gray Toyota Tundra pickup truck with Mississippi plates.

“We ran the plate but could not connect the car to these three, so we are in need of some help with this one,” said Keller.

Pictures of the two male suspects, and their vehicle, can be viewed below.
