Three men are recovering after being assaulted inside their downtown Lincoln hotel around 2:00 Sunday morning. LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says the men from Iowa and Illinois and had been at a downtown bar and were returning to their hotel near 9th and ‘O” Street.
They made their way to the 5th floor and as they were entering their room they were attacked by three men. “They were punched and kicked numerous times, leading to cuts on their faces, and one lost consciousness,” Thomas says.
“During the assault, one victim had his wallet stolen, with a loss of $75, including contents.” The investigation is ongoing and Thomas says anyone who saw something or has information is asked to call LPD at 402-441-6000 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
