Another round of strong to severe storms will be possible Tuesday afternoon and evening in Lancaster County.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Dirk Petersen tells KLIN News, a nice Tuesday morning and early afternoon will be threatened by a storm front trying to move into the area from the north around 3:00-4:00 p.m.
“The storm is going to keep trying to grow south along that front… It’ll just be a matter of how far south they extend when they do pass through between 4:00-7:00 p.m.,” said Petersen. “So it’s a little bit of a toss up right now if Lincoln actually does see those storms develop, but they’re going to have some kind of showers and storms within the county.”
Otherwise, the day will be partly sunny, with a high near 84° F.
A slight chance of showers will persist between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.
Petersen said heavy rain, wind, and hail are the primary threats to the area, with the best tornado threat off to the southeast by 2-3 counties.
Wednesday will bring back sunny skies, with a high near 88.
