A house under construction was destroyed by fire in south Lincoln just before noon Thursday. Lancaster County Sheriff’s Captain John Vik says firefighters from Bennet, Southeast Fire and Hickman battled the intense flames near 56th and Cavee Road. south of Pine Lake Road.
“Sounds like come contractors had been working on the residence and there ended up being a fire at some point and it ended up being a complete loss. Vik says damage to the home and contents is estimated at $2.75 million.
There were on injuries to firefighters. The State Fire Marshal’s Office and Lancaster County deputies are investigating the cause.
