Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in two separate cases: one involving a porch pirate in central Lincoln, and the other involving a clothing thief from JCPenney.
The first case occurred on December 1, 2023, in the area of 30th & “M” Street.
Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says residential security-video obtained by police shows the suspect ride his bike up to house, reach onto the porch, and steal an Amazon package containing a “Where’s Waldo” book.
Photo and video from the incident can be viewed below.
The next case occurred on January 15, 2024, at the JCPenney in Gateway Mall on 68th and “O” Street.
The suspect was seen stuffing a pair of jeans and other items into a duffel bag and leaving the store without paying.
He left in a gold/tan colored Lincoln Navigator.
Back in early March, Lincoln Crime Stoppers shared a larceny investigation involving a suspect stole several tools stolen from two work vans from a kitchen remodeling business in the area of 56th and Nebraska Parkway. Video showed the suspect arrive in a Lincoln Navigator. Keller speculates this could be the same suspect.
The Lincoln Navigator caught on camera at JCPenney had some driver side front end damage. Photos can be viewed below.
