A 46-year-old man was critically injured when a large section of concrete fell on him at a construction site in southeast Lincoln Thursday morning. Lincoln Police and LFR crews were called to the home under construction near 78th and Yankee Hill Road around 9:30 a.m.
“There was a section of concrete possibly from a window well that collapsed and pinned him,” Lt. Brian Golden tells KLIN News. “It was an employee and some neighbors that were able to extricate him before LFR’s arrived.”
CPR was performed and the man was rushed to the hospital. Investigators are trying to determine how the collapse happened.
