Someone called Lincoln Police just before 10:00 Tuesday night after seeing someone driving an orange van inside TO Haas near 27th and Folkways. “He said the van struck one of the vehicle
lifts before exiting through an overhead garage door,” says Captain Todd Kocian.
The orange van was last seen northbound on 27th Street. Kocian says officers found a window on the building had been shattered to gain entry. “Once inside, the suspect initially took a brown 2015 Nissan van and used it to ram the overhead garage door before exiting the building.”
Kocian says that van was found just east of the business where it went off the road and got stuck. “It appears the suspect then went back inside the business and took the orange 2017 GMC Savanna 2500 van that is valued at $20,000.
