Lincoln Police Searching for Adult Shop Burglar, Kool-Aid Packet Fraudster

Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in two separate cases: one involving an adult entertainment store smash and grab, and the other involving a serial grocery store fraudster.

The first case occurred just step from the KLIN Newsroom on April 29th, 2024, around 3:30 a.m.

Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says surveillance video from the Adam and Eve on 43rd and “O” Street shows a suspect pelting the front glass door multiple times with a rock until it was smashed.

Once making his way inside,  they took two “items” from the displays and then climbed back out the broken window. The total loss value was around $90, but the damage to the door was around $1500.

The next case occurred on February 16th, 2024, the Hy-Vee store on 50th and “O” Street.

Employees caught a fraudulent transaction where the suspect rung up a Kool-Aid packet underneath more expensive items.

A scan of his card information, it was discovered this suspect made similar fraudulent purchases at three different Lincoln Hy-Vee locations a total of 72 other times, dating back to September of 2023.

In total, over $1,000 worth of items were taken and not paid for on various visits over those 6 months.
