By Chase Porter May 21, 2024 | 1:59 PM

A leadership change for the Lincoln Board of Education during their annual reorganization meeting Monday night.

Dr. Bob Rauner was unanimously approved by the board to serve as it’s next President for the 2024-25 school year, replacing former President Lanny Boswell, who revealed last August he was battling tongue cancer.

This is Dr. Rauner first time serving as president in the five years he’s served on the board. He previous was vice president under Boswell.

Board member Kathy Danek will work with Rauner as vice president.

Other leadership shake ups include: board member Piyush Srivastav will replace Danek as the president of Educational Service Unit 18, and Takako Olson was appointed to serve as the ESU administrator.
