Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Highway 6 Near Waverly

By Tom Stanton May 17, 2024 | 10:01 PM

A Lincoln woman was killed after her motorcycle was struck by a pickup Friday afternoon on Highway 6 at the I-80 eastbound exit ramp.  Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation indicates an orange Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by 49-year-old Robin Feldt, was getting off the interstate around 4:40 p.m.

Investigators say Feldt stopped at the stop sign and entered the intersection to make a left turn and go west on Hwy 6.  As Feldt proceeded through the intersection, she drove into the path of an eastbound black Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck driven by a 74-year-old man.

The sheriff’s department says first responders arrived on the scene within two minutes. Feldt was declared dead at the scene. She was the only occupant on the motorcycle.  The pickup driver was treated at the scene and released.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Waverly Rural Fire Department along with the Nebraska State Patrol.
