A motorcyclist is facing a long list of charges following a crash on May 6th at 70th and Douglas Street in northeast Lincoln . LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says 40-year-old Jeremy Wilcox of Omaha lost control of his bike, went up a curb and into a yard near a home.

“While on the scene, officers recovered cocaine, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a handgun, “Thomas says.  Due to prior convictions, Wilcox is prohibited from having a firearm. Wilcox was ejected from the bike and taken to the hospital for his injuries.

“While in the emergency room, Wilcox became confrontational and spit on staff,” Thomas says.  “After 10 days in the hospital, Wilcox was released Thursday evening and taken to the Lancaster County Jail.”

Wilcox was cited and booked for possessing drugs, possessing a firearm by a prohibited person, possessing a firearm during commission of a felony and driving during license revocation. He was also cited for assault with bodily fluid on an officer, careless driving, no motorcycle operator’s license and no valid registration.
