This Saturday visitors to any of Nebraska’s State Parks or Recreation Areas will be able to enjoy activities without buying a fishing or entry permit for the day.
“You can come explore, hike or view wildlife,” Says Christy Firestone, Communications Director with Nebraska Game and Parks. “Also anyone can fish that day without a fishing license.”
Camping, lodging and all other user fees still apply at state parks. Angler must observe all fishing regulations.
Firestone adds that if you are wanting to purchase an annual park permit, cost is $35.00 for Nebraska residents or a single day permit is $7.00. Permits can be purchased at any Nebraska State Park or online at www.outdoornebraska.gov.
