Lincoln Police continue to investigate a Friday afternoon crash that resulted in the death of an unborn child. Lincoln Police say the two-vehicle crash happened at South 16th & E Street shortly after 2:30 p.m.
Investigators say a Kia Optima was southbound on 16th Street when it collided with a Chevy Malibu that was westbound on ‘E’ Street through the intersection. Medical personnel provided aid to a pregnant woman in the Kia. She was transported to a local hospital. Emergency procedures continued at the hospital, but the infant was pronounced dead shortly after an emergency
delivery.
