Third Arrest Made In Downtown Lincoln Shooting

By Tom Stanton May 8, 2024 | 11:16 AM

Lincoln Police say a third person has been arrested for his role in a shooting in downtown Lincoln last October that injured four people. Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says 25-year-old Alvin Jones Jr. was arrested by South Sioux City Police last Friday in connection with the shooting at 13th and O Street.

“An arrest warrant had been issued for Jones for aiding and abetting,” Thomas says.  “Jones has since been transported back to Lincoln and remains in the Lancaster County Jail.”  Police say one victim was found at the scene and the three others were driven to a hospital.

None of the injuries were life-threatening.  Police are continuing their investigation.
