Free Outdoor Movie Series Returns To LNK Airport this Friday

By Chase Porter May 7, 2024 | 12:38 PM

Making a splash this Friday at the Lincoln Airport: the return of the “LNK Outdoor Movie Series.”

Beginning at sundown, May 10, the Dreamworks animated hit Shark Tale will be projected on the side of the old Cold War hangar on the west side of the Lincoln Municipal airport.

Attendees can enjoy the movie drive-in style from the comfort of their own cars, or bring blankets and law chairs and watch from the open green space. Food trucks will start lining up around 7:00p.m.

“Free movies at the airport was something that started during the pandemic and just really caught on,” said Lincoln Airport Spokesperson Rachel Barth.

The movie event is free to attend, and good will donations will benefit the water-safety non-profit Josh The Otter — the events partner.

While the event is free, event organizers appreciate attendees pre-registering which can be done here.
