Lincoln House Fire Causes $10,000 In Damage

By Tom Stanton May 6, 2024 | 2:37 PM

Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews were called to a home near 16th and ‘B’ Streets around 5:30 Saturday afternoon after receiving reports of smoke coming from the back side.  “It’s a two and a half story house that was converted into three separate living units,” says Public Information Officer MJ Lierman.

“When they arrived there was flames and smoke from underneath the structure.”  Lierman says the fire started in the crawl space and caused $10,000 in damage.  Residents in two of the three units were relocated by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
