LFR dispatched 11 units to New Covenant Community Church at 6000 South 84th in Lincoln just before 3 am this morning on the report of a structure fire. KLIN News was able to get some pictures of the church as crews were finishing up just before 7 am which showed a large part of the South end of the structure with shingles torn off.
According to one member of the congregation it is believed to have been a lightning strike that caused the fire. No word on estimated damages.
