Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in solving two separate cases: one involving a man accused of repeatedly groping a minor employee of the northeast Lincoln Walmart, and the other involving a hit-and-run on UNL’s East Campus.
The first case occurred on March 20, 2024, when man reported to UNL Police his car had been hit while parked on North 35th Street on East Campus.
V ideo Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says UNLPD reviewed video footage from the campus and while watching, they observed a Star Tran bus drove by the suspect as his vehicle was disabled.
A bus mounted security camera was able to capture footage of the suspect. He can be seen driving a Dodge Avenger, now possibly with fresh damage to the vehicle.
Photo and video from the StarTran bus can be viewed below.
The next case occurred April 14, 2024, at the Walmart Supercenter near N. 84th and Adam Street.
A man asked a 16-year-old girl employee to help him find something on the shelves. She walked him back to the aisle and during that time he began asking her personal questions and was making sexual remarks about her appearance.
When they made it to the item he had asked for, the girl says he groped her multiple times. She quickly left the aisle and contacted police.
Security video footage of the suspect is available below.
