Lincoln Police made a quick arrest after a burglary at Gateway Mall late Sunday night. Captain Todd Kocian says officers responded to a glass break alarm just before midnight. “Officers discovered a glass entry door on the north side of the building was shattered.”
Kocian says officers found a gray jacket lying on the floor and one of the officers remembered seeing it while talking with 24-year-old Scott Frankson earlier in the day. Kocian says officers found Frankson about 20 minutes later and took him into custody.
He says Frankson had several missing items from the store in his possession. Just over $3,000 worth of merchandise was taken, including perfume, necklaces, watch, jacket and flip flops. They were call recovered.
Damage to the business, entry door and glass display cases was estimated at $9,500.
